If you are on PC and staring at that console-only launch window, you have one question: is GTA 6 coming to PC, and when?
Short version
Almost certainly yes. Probably not at the same time as consoles.
What Rockstar’s history says
Rockstar has a long habit of launching on consoles first and bringing PC along later:
- GTA 5 hit consoles in September 2013. The PC version showed up in April 2015, about eighteen months behind.
- Red Dead Redemption 2 landed on consoles in October 2018, with PC following in November 2019, roughly a year later.
If GTA 6 tracks closer to the Red Dead gap, PC players are looking at about a year. If it tracks GTA 5, longer. Call it twelve to eighteen months as a rough, history-based guess.
The upside of being patient
PC versions of Rockstar games tend to arrive as the best version: higher frame rates, longer draw distances, mod support, and every launch bug already ironed out. Waiting is painful. It also usually pays off.
What I would do
Do not build your launch-day plans around PC. If you want GTA 6 the week it is out, get a PS5 or an Xbox Series console. If you can hold out, the PC edition is probably worth the wait.
Based on Rockstar’s past release patterns. No PC date has been confirmed.
