Privacy Policy

SixHype ("we", "us") is an independent, fan-run publication about Grand Theft Auto VI, operating at sixhype.com and on social platforms including X, Threads, and Bluesky. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and how we handle data from third-party platforms.

What we collect

• Newsletter email. If you subscribe, we collect your email address to send our weekly GTA 6 digest. This is handled by our email provider, Kit (ConvertKit). You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in every email.
• Basic analytics. Standard, privacy-respecting usage data (pages visited, referrer, approximate region) to understand what content is useful. We do not build advertising profiles.
• Public social content. Through official platform APIs (including the Meta Threads API), we access public posts and public engagement metrics about GTA 6 to inform and publish our own social content. See the section below.

How we use the Meta Threads API

SixHype uses the Threads API to run its official @sixhypehq presence. Specifically, we use it to:

• Publish our own posts and replies to our own Threads account.
• Search public Threads content by keyword (for example, "GTA 6") to discover public conversations we may respond to.
• Read public post text and public metrics to help draft relevant, on-topic replies.

We only access public Threads content. We do not collect private messages or non-public data. We do not store personal data from Threads beyond the transient processing needed to draft and publish a reply, and any cached content is retained only briefly for operational purposes. We do not sell, rent, or share Threads platform data with third parties, and we do not use it for advertising or profiling. Our use complies with the Meta Platform Terms and Developer Policies.

Third-party services

• Kit (ConvertKit) — newsletter delivery.
• Vercel — website hosting.
• Meta Platforms — the Threads API for our @sixhypehq account.

Each processes data under its own privacy policy.

Data retention & security

We keep newsletter emails until you unsubscribe. Public social content we access is used transiently to generate our own posts and is not retained as a personal-data store. We take reasonable measures to protect the limited data we hold.

Your rights

You can unsubscribe from our newsletter at any time, and you may contact us to ask what data we hold about you or to request deletion. Email us at hello@sixhype.com.

Children

SixHype is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
