One honest thing up front, because it matters: Rockstar has not published an official vehicle list. Everything below comes from Trailer 1 (December 2023), Trailer 2 (May 2025), official stills, social clips, and the pre-order bonus reveals. So when we say a car is “confirmed,” we mean it has been clearly spotted in official media, not that Rockstar printed its name in a manual. Where a vehicle is only expected to return or comes from the old 2022 leak, we label it a rumor. We would rather be right than first.

Quick answer: how many cars are in GTA 6?

Community trackers have identified roughly 145 to 165 named vehicles so far across the trailers, screenshots, and clips. Outlets expect the game to launch with 300 or more once you count every variant, but that bigger number is an educated guess based on how GTA 5 and GTA Online grew over time, not a figure Rockstar has given. Treat 300-plus as “likely,” and the ~150 named so far as “we have actually seen these.”

How GTA’s fake car brands work

You will never drive a real Lamborghini or Ford in GTA 6. Rockstar builds fictional brands and models that parody real cars instead. The Vapid Dominator is a Ford Mustang in everything but the badge. There are two reasons for this.

The first is legal. Real manufacturers usually refuse to license their brand to a game built around stealing cars, flattening pedestrians, and outrunning the cops, because it clashes with how they market themselves. Skipping licenses also means Rockstar pays no royalties and can let you blow the cars up, slam them, and abuse them however you want.

The second is creative. Fictional brands let Rockstar blend two or three real cars into one design, invent models that do not exist, and take shots at car culture. Half the fun is in the names. “Ubermacht” is German for supreme power (that is BMW). “Declasse” plays on declasse, meaning low class (that is Chevrolet). “Pegassi” nods to Pagani and Pegaso (that is Lamborghini).

  • Bravado Buffalo and Buffalo STX (Dodge Charger). Also appears as a police Buffalo STX Pursuit. Spotted.
  • Bravado Gauntlet family, including the Hellfire (Dodge Challenger, with the Hellfire nodding to the SRT Demon). A Hellfire is shown on Oceanview Road. Spotted.

The protagonists’ cars: Jason and Lucia

  • Jason Duval drives the Vapid Creado, a two-door coupe utility based on the 1970s Ford Ranchero. This is the best-supported protagonist-car fact in the whole game. It is the car Jason and Lucia sit on in the Trailer 1 key art, with the Vapid badge visible on the grille, and Jason drives a turquoise Creado with a weathered black fender throughout Trailer 2. Spotted and confirmed.
  • Lucia Caminos does not have a definitively confirmed personal car yet. Some outlets point to the Declasse Sabre as the shared Bonnie-and-Clyde getaway muscle car, but Rockstar has not assigned Lucia a specific vehicle. Rumored.

Pre-order and Ultimate Edition bonus cars
